President Trump signed an executive order pardoning convicted reality show couple Todd and Julie Chrisley. The Chrisley’s were found guilty of conspiracy to defraud community banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans and tax evasion in 2022.  The couple have maintained their innocence and were appealing the convictions.

Known for their reality series “Chrisley Knows Best,” Todd was originally serving a 12-year sentence at Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Pensacola, in Florida and Julie was serving a 7-year sentence in the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Lexington in Kentucky.

Their daughter Savannah had been advocating for their release since their imprisonment, which began in January 2023 and reached out to President Trump after he took office.

On a phone call from the Oval Office, Trump informed Savannah and her brother Chase. Savannah was heard saying, “Thank you so much, Mr. President,” and Chase, emotionally said, “Mr. President, I just want to say thank you for bringing my parents back.” Savannah is “forever grateful” to Trump, their lawyers and all who helped get her parents freed.

President Trump issued a full, unconditional pardon for the couple. Trump said on the phone call, “It’s a terrible thing, it’s a terrible thing, but it’s a great thing because your parents are going to be free and clean…I wish them a good life.”

Trump also said, “They were given pretty harsh treatment based on what I’m hearing…This should not have happened.”
