President Donald J. Trump, alongside Vice President JD Vance, and members of his trade team in the Oval Office, announced a major trade deal with the United Kingdom.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was on the speaker phone during the announcement. British Ambassador to the United States Peter Mandelson was on hand in the Oval Office.

Trump said...

"The U.K. will be opening up the country for American goods, including agricultural products."

"They'll also be fast-tracking American goods through their customs process, so our exports go to a very, very quick form of approval, and there won't be any red tape."

Starmer said...

"This is a really fantastic, historic day. This is going to boost trade between and across our countries."

The deal is the first of many expected to be on the way for Trump. It opens up the U.K. markets that were extremely limited and highly regulated to our farmers and to more American companies and goods.
