A Nebraskan family of four was found dead in a suspected murder-suicide this weekend.
Following a preliminary investigation, it is believed that Jeremy Koch, 42, stabbed his wife Bailey, 41, and his two sons Hudson, 18, and Asher, 16, before taking his own life. The knife, which is believed to be the murder weapon, was found at the scene.
The bodies were found by Bailey’s parents, Lane and Peggy Kugler, around 9:45 a.m. Saturday morning and said, “What I saw will haunt me the rest of my life.”
Bailey was a special education teacher at a middle school and Hudson was supposed to graduate later that day from the high school he went to with his brother Asher.
Jeremy was struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts and attempts for years. He also recently completed a 5-day mental health care help program.
