Padres Extend Merrill

The San Diego Padres have signed All-Star outfielder Jackson Merrill to a 9 year, $135 million contract extension.
The deal includes another $30 million in performance incentives that could bring the contract up to $165 million and a $30 million club option for 2035 with performance incentives that could raise the total value of the contract to $204 million.
