On May 23, 1934, a group of Texas and Louisiana state police shot notorious criminals, Bonnie and Clyde to death near Sailes, Louisiana. The couple robbed banks, stores, restaurants and gas stations and committed 13 murders, including 9 police officers. Officers concealed themselves in bushes along a road and opened fire when the couple appeared.
