George Wendt “Norm” Dies at 76

George Wendt, 76, died peacefully in his sleep Tuesday morning. Wendt’s cause of death hasn’t been announced.

Wendt was most famous for his iconic role as Norm Peterson on NBC’s “Cheers,” where he starred along side Ted Danson, Rhea Pearlman, John Ratzenberger, Shelley Long, Kelsey Grammer, Woody Harrelson and Kirstie Alley.

His wife of 46 years, Bernadette Birkett; their children Hilary, Joe and Daniel, his stepchildren Joshua and Andrew and his nephew Jason Sudeikis survive Wendt.
