Country music superstar and award-winning singer, Garth Brooks is being accused of rape and sexual assault by his makeup artist and hairstylist.

The accuser, “Jane Roe,” said the alleged inappropriate behavior began in 2019, two years after she began working for Brooks. Roe was at Brooks’ home and alleges he “walked out of the shower naked and grabbed her hands and forced them on his genitals,” while using sexually explicit and vulgar language. She also claims Brooks raped her in a hotel room in Los Angeles. Roe also accuses Brooks of sharing sexual fantasies with her, changing his clothing in front of her, physically groping her, and sending sexually explicit text messages.

Brooks is denying the allegations saying in part, “For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars… In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of – ugly acts that no human should ever do to another…”

Brooks filed his own, anonymous complaint in September against his accuser saying, “We filed suit against this person nearly a month ago to speak out against the extortion and defamation of character. We filed it anonymously for the sake of families on both sides.”

Roe’s lawyers say Brooks’ effort to silence their client was nothing other than an act of desperation and attempted intimidation. Roe’s attorneys “applaud their clients courage in moving forward… and are confident Brooks will be held accountable for his actions.”

Brooks defends himself saying, “…I trust the system, I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be.”
