A panel of three federal judges blocked many of President Trump’s tariffs, ruled that he exceeded his authority, and lacked “any identifiable limits.”
The judges ruled against the tariffs Trump placed on international trading partners putting a halt on the 10% tariffs on dozens of countries and also blocked the separate tariffs placed on Canada, China and Mexico.
The White House stated, “It is not for unelected judges to decide how to properly address a national emergency. President Trump pledged to put America First, and the Administration is committed to using every lever of executive power to address this crisis and restore American Greatness.”
The administration has already filed an appeal through the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
