The FDA recalls at least 1.7 million brown cage-free and brown certified organic eggs from the August Egg Company over a potential contamination with fatal infections.
These eggs were distributed to Walmart stores across these nine states: California, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming, New Mexico, Nebraska, Indiana and Illinois.
The FDA reported these eggs were available between February 3rd and May 6th, with sell-by dates ranging from March 4th- June 19th. Also on the list of egg product recalls involved include the brands: Clover, Sunnyside and Raley’s.
The affected eggs were packaged in fiber or plastic cartons with codes P-6562 or CA5330.
Please check your cartons and either dispose of them or return eggs for full refund.
