“Do Us A Flavor” Winner Announced

The winner of the Lays “Do Us A Flavor” contest is Paula George from Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Paula won $1 million for her winning flavor of Bacon Grilled Cheese.

Lays brand said, “George drew inspiration from her late father’s bacon grilled cheese recipe and hopes the flavor will bring fans a similar memory of a delicious favorite meal, enjoyed on the cheesy crunch of a Lay’s potato chip.

There were over 700,000 flavors submitted in this year’s contest. Two additional flavors were finalists; Araceli Huerta with Valentina & Lime and Neelia Lynn with Wavy Korean-Style Fried Chicken.  Each finalist won $50,000.

Although not a yearly thing, the contest began in 2012 and ran in 2014, 2015 and 2017. Winning flavors of those years were Cheesy Garlic Bread, Kettle-Cooked Wasabi Ginger, Southern Biscuits & Gravy and Crispy Taco respectively.

This year’s winning flavors will remain on shelves while supplies last.
