Caitlin Clark has been snubbed as a player in the WNBA All-Star Team selection. Although Clark of the Indiana Fever guard had received the most fan votes for her position, her rank among her colleagues in the WNBA was extremely low.
With Media and Player voting counting for 25% each, Clark was ranked 3rd in media voting and 9th in player voting. Clark was ranked 1st among Fan voting with 1,293,526 votes.
Legendary broadcaster Dick Vitale posted on X: “Absolutely PURE JEALOUSY that @WNB players voted Caitlin Clark the 9th best guard. Some day they will realize what she Has done for ALL of the players in the WNBA. Charted planes – increase in salaries-sold out crowds – improved TV Ratings”
Clark will however be one of the team captains due to her high fan votes along with Napheesa Collier.
The 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game will be played on July 19th at 8:30 p.m. on ABC, Disney+ and ESPN+ at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
