Big Beautiful Bill One Step Closer to Passing

After hours of an overnight debate, the House of Representatives narrowly passed President Donald Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill.” In a vote of 215-214, with all Democrats voting against the bill along with two Republicans; Thomas Massie, Kentucky and Warren Davidson, Ohio and Republican Andy Harris, Maryland voting “present.” Andre Garbarino, NY and David Schweikert, AZ didn’t vote.

Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson said, “Today the House has passed, generational, truly nation shaping legislation to reduce spending and to permanently lower taxes for families and job creators, secure the border, unleash American energy dominance, restore peace through strength and make government work more efficiently and effectively for all Americans.”

President Trump posted on Truth Social, “Great job by Speaker Mike Johnson, and the House Leadership, and thank you to every Republican who voted YES on this Historic Bill! Now, it’s time for our friends in the United States Senate to get to work, and send this Bill to my desk AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!”
