The Colorado Avalanche have signed center Brock Nelson to a 3-year, $22.5 million contract.
The Avalanche acquired Nelson before the trade deadline from the New York Islanders. He scored 6 goals and had 7 assists for 13 points in 19 games with Colorado this season and he added 4 assists in seven playoff games.
