New Version of Covid-19 Vaccine

The FDA vaccine advisors have agreed to ask manufacturers to update the formula to focus on the JN-1 variant. According to the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA), the JN-1 variant, along with its descendants, are the most common versions of the virus going around right now.

The current Covid-19 vaccines available at this time are less effective against the JN-1 variants and the new versions of the vaccine should be available in the Fall of 2024.
