Here's the happenings in Major League Baseball...

-  Pittsburgh Pirates have activated catcher Yasmani Grandal from the injured list.

-  Pittsburgh Pirates have demoted catcher Henry Davis to Triple-A Indianapolis.

-  Boston Red Sox have placed designated hitter/outfielder Masataka on the 10 day injured list with a sprained left thumb.

-  Baltimore Orioles have placed right-handed starter Grayson Rodriguez on the 15 injured list with shoulder inflammation.

-  Los Angeles Angels have designated outfielder Aaron Hicks for assignment. 

-  Chicago Cubs have traded first baseman Garrett Cooper to the Boston Red Sox for cash considerations. 

-  Texas Rangers left-handed starter Cody Bradford will be out at least a month with a stress fracture in his ribs.
